Kidstory is an animated series based on titles from our collection of historical works for children aged 6 to 14.

Armed with a treasure trove of original stories about kids caught up in dramatic moments of American history, these books come alive as fun and exciting video programming.  What we've accomplished is an entertaining series kids will want to watch, history lesson or not.  History leaves out the kids.  Kidstory brings them back.

Both half-hour Kidstory segments offer exciting episodes in American history rarely covered in children's historical fiction, and brought to life by a consistent ensemble of colorful, spirited kids, called "Us Kids", with whom today's youth can easily identify.  In each show they get caught up in the chaos, adventure, and suspense of actual historical conflicts, coming of age in the process.  In addition, each show is highlighted with original music and songs.

Preliminary pilots of the first two shows "Gold is Free, Black Man Ain't", based on the book Golden Quest, an 1850 California Gold Rush tale, and "Men Won't Die for Nothin', There's a Chance to Win War", based on Drums at Saratoga, a Revolutionary War 1777 battle saga, have been completed.  In the future we hope to add additional storylines based on themes covered in our highly acclaimed Stories of the States and Mysteries in Time series.
